Algiers - Christian Vieri, ambassador of Italy in Algeria. The former footballer, as the ambassador of the Serie A League for the promotion of Made in Italy, visited the Italian pavilion at the Djazagro International Fair, dedicated to the sectors of processing, preservation, and packaging of food products. Vieri also participated in a meeting at the Italian Embassy in Algiers with the community of the Italian-Algerian economic and institutional world. With 115 companies, 52 of which are present in the collective organized by the Ice Agency with UCIMA (Confindustria), Italy participates with the largest foreign delegation at the fair. Italy is Algeria's top supplier of packaging machinery and equipment: in 2023, the total value of exports reached 26 million euros with a market share of 53%, as reported on Ice's Linkedin profile.
